At almost 250,000 tonnes per annum, MCS is a leading company in the extraction and processing of feldspar and quartz in Portugal.  With quarries and mineral rights to over 25 mining concessions, the Group is a reliable and sustainable partner for these minerals.  It has a range of natural sodium, potassium feldspars, which are suitable for ceramic body and glaze applications.

In addition, MCS has several unique lithium feldspars, which due to their mineralogy make them extremely suitable for both ceramic and non-ceramic applications.  Beneficiation of both feldspar and quartz use specialist optical sorting and concentration technology.  MCs was the first in Portugal to adopt such technology to allow it to improve product purity.
